Traveling requires more organization than we may possess in our daily lives and takes a lot of patience. It starts with understanding our destination. This includes the purpose for the trip, the number of days going to be spent, the weather of the place, the religion and culture of the people of the place etc. These information would help in your trip planning.
Here are some tips to help
you stay organized before a trip:
Make a list of all you need for the trip. Cross check the
list and start putting aside those things weeks before departure.
Start putting together your important travel documents which
could include your passport/visa , personal ID, Credit cards, Cheque books/
withdrawal books incase the ATMs fails, hotel or destination contact
information, transportation tickets , emergency contacts and addresses. It’s a
good idea to double check your documents to be sure no one is expired.
Get your travel bag ready. If you aren’t a frequent traveler
or you just haven’t used a particular travel bag for a while, it’s time to take it out and clean it up.
It’s true that some of us have some strict daily beauty
regimes but except you are Mariah Carey going on tour, you wouldn’t need to
carry all those products on every trip. If your trip is for a few days, you
could deep scrub your face before traveling, leave your scrub behind and take
your daily cleanser and moisturizer along. Neatly style or Shave before the
trip, so you don’t have to carry your saloon materials and shaving kit. These
choices would leave your bag lighter or give you space to take something more
important along.
Get Zip lock bags. I have found them very effective in
travel bag organization. They are light and can be used to put together items
like make-up, stationary etc. while packing. The best part is that they are
transparent, so you wouldn’t have any troubles knowing what is in each bag.
Be sure to get the full
address of your destination before leaving. Don’t just leave it on your phone,
write it out on an address book with phone numbers in case of any emergency.
Have your power bank fully charged. That way you can be sure your phone would be on through the trip and you can be in contact with
people.
Make sure that the all clothes needed for the trip are clean
and ironed. It’s better to have them clean and ready at home to avoid
disappointments later.
